Mobile response & per-site billing

Updated 29 June 2026

Mobile response supports officers who cover several sites per shift — mobile patrols, lock/unlock, keyholding and alarm response — instead of standing post at one venue. Officers clock on to a single roving mobile duty and record an arrive/depart site visit at each site they reach.

Turning it on for a site

  1. Open Clients and edit the site.
  2. In the Mobile Response & Billing section, switch on Mobile response for that site. Sites you do not enable continue to work exactly as before.
  3. Optionally switch on Keyholding and set a callout response target (SLA) in minutes for that site.

Choosing how the site is billed

Each site has its own billing mode, so every client can be charged the way their contract works:

  • Per hour — the existing shift-based model (unchanged default).
  • Per visit — a set charge for each site visit recorded.
  • Per round — a set charge for each completed patrol round.
  • Per callout — a set charge for each alarm-response callout.
  • Monthly fixed fee — a flat retainer per period, taken from the contract value.
  • Monthly retainer + per-visit — a base fee that includes a set number of visits, with extra visits charged on top.

Pick the mode and the matching charge fields appear. Existing sites stay on Per hour until you change them, so nothing about your current invoicing changes unless you choose a new mode.

What you will see

Officers on mobile duty appear on the live map while on duty, and each site visit (arrive time, depart time, time on site, visit type) is recorded against the site. This is the foundation for mobile patrol rounds, alarm-response callouts with SLA tracking on the Issues dashboard, and the matching invoice lines — these are being rolled out in stages.

Tips

  • Set each mobile site's location accurately — officers get a nearest-site suggestion when arriving.
  • Use the SLA field for sites with contractual response times so breaches can be flagged once callout tracking is live.
  • Callouts board — raise a callout, dispatch the nearest officer, and track the live SLA countdown. Breaches appear automatically on the Issues dashboard.
  • Mobile response billing modes — choose from six billing modes (per hour, per visit, per round, per callout, monthly fixed, or monthly retainer with overage) to match each client's contract.
  • Setting up the mobile duty roster — enable the Mobile response officer toggle on guard profiles and use rota shifts to control who can start a mobile duty.
  • Using TacBot for mobile duty — ask TacBot to put an officer on mobile duty using plain English; TacBot shows a confirmation card before making any changes.
