Finance Reports (BETA)

Updated 13 May 2026

BETA: This feature is in active development. Some behaviours may change.

The Finance tab provides financial reporting on your operations — connecting the hours your guards work with the contracts you hold and giving you a clearer picture of revenue, labour costs, and gross margin per venue.

What the Finance tab shows

  • Revenue — derived from contract rates per client for the selected period
  • Labour costs — derived from logged hours in the Hours tab, calculated against each guard's pay rate
  • Gross margin — the difference between revenue and labour costs, shown per venue and in aggregate

Filtering and grouping

Filter by client, date range, or contract to narrow the view. Use the client filter to see the profitability of a specific account before a contract renewal conversation. Use the date range to pull figures for a specific month or quarter.

Use cases

  • Monthly performance reviews — run the Finance tab at the end of each month to see overall revenue vs costs across all venues
  • Contract profitability — identify which contracts are profitable and which are running tight or at a loss
  • Loss-making jobs — flag venues where labour costs consistently exceed contract revenue, and investigate why (overtime, unscheduled deployments, pay rate mismatches)

How the data is linked

Labour cost figures draw from the Hours tab — logged clock-in/clock-out records are the source of truth. Revenue figures draw from contract rates set in the Clients tab. If either is incomplete or out of date, the Finance tab will reflect the gap. Keep contract rates current to get reliable margin figures.

Feedback

This tab is in active iteration. Use the Feedback button inside the Finance tab to suggest additional reports, columns, or groupings that would be useful for your business.

Access requires the finance_reports permission on your account.
