On-Duty Board

Updated 17 June 2026

The On-Duty Board is the live panel of clocked-in guards that sits on the Dashboard tab. It's not a separate tab — it's the main section of the Dashboard, below the KPI tiles. Use it as your quick "is everything OK?" glance during the shift.

The board auto-refreshes every 10 seconds. You don't need to reload the page.

What you can see for each guard

  • Name and role badge — Guard, Supervisor, Manager, or Senior Manager.
  • Client / venue — which site they're assigned to for this shift.
  • Clock-in time and elapsed shift time — when they started and how long they've been on duty.
  • Last seen location — tap or click View to open Google Maps at their last GPS coordinates.
  • Patrol status badge — shown when the guard has an active patrol round in progress.
  • Call button — dials their phone directly (requires a number on their profile).
  • Request Check Call button — sends an immediate push notification. The guard has 15 minutes to respond before an escalation alert fires.
  • Clock Off button — ends the guard's shift for them. Only managers, senior managers, and admins see this button; supervisors do not.

Key actions

Tap or click a guard's name to open their Guard Summary modal — a full view of their recent shifts, reports, and performance indicators.

Tap or click View next to Last Seen to open Google Maps with their last GPS coordinates. This is the fastest way to verify a guard is at their assigned location.

Tap or click Request Check Call to trigger an immediate welfare check. Use this if you can't reach a guard by phone, if there's been no GPS activity for an unexpected period, or if you simply need confirmation they're safe and on post.

Tap or click Clock Off to end a guard's shift on their behalf. You'll be asked to confirm first. This closes their time record at the current time and cancels any check-call requests still pending for them — useful when a guard has left post without clocking out, or simply forgot at the end of a shift. The guard drops off the board on the next refresh. Only managers, senior managers, and admins can do this; supervisors see the board but not this button.

Who sees the On-Duty Board

Managers and senior managers see all guards in their scope. Supervisors with the relevant permission see the board scoped to the sites and teams they manage.

If a guard doesn't appear on the board, they are not currently clocked in. Check the Rota to confirm whether they were scheduled.
