Memos from management
Updated 13 May 2026
Memos are short messages from management — site updates, reminders, policy notes, "well done" kudos, anything they want to broadcast to the team. They are one-way: management writes, you read.
Where memos appear
Memos show up in two places:
- Dashboard — the latest memo is pinned at the top so you see it as soon as you log in, even before tapping any tab.
- Memos tab — in the bottom navigation, showing the full list in reverse chronological order. Older memos remain in the list for reference — they are only removed by management.
Acknowledging a memo
Some memos require acknowledgement — for example, policy updates that management needs a record of you having read. When acknowledgement is needed, you will see a Read or Confirmed button at the bottom of the memo. Tap it once you have finished reading.
- You can only acknowledge a memo once. The button disappears after you tap it.
- Management can see which guards have and have not acknowledged.
- If you return to a memo later and there is no button, it is already acknowledged.
- Unacknowledged required memos may affect your compliance record — do not skip them.
How memos differ from other communications
- Memos vs Messages — memos are one-way broadcasts from management; Messages is a two-way conversation with your manager. To reply to a memo, use the Messages tab.
- Memos vs BOLOs — memos are informational announcements; BOLOs are active watch-out alerts that require you to look for something specific.
- Memos vs Site Instructions — memos are general team announcements; site instructions are post orders specific to a venue.
Tips
- Check memos at the start of every shift — the Dashboard pin means you cannot miss the latest one.
- If a memo contradicts your usual instructions, contact your manager to clarify before acting on it.
- Push notifications for new memos can be enabled in Settings — see the Notifications and settings article.
