Dispatcher Dashboard

The Dispatcher Dashboard is a real-time control console for live event dispatch. It's designed for large events, multi-site operations, and control-room shifts where you need to actively orchestrate guards as conditions change.

It requires the dispatcher entitlement (your company must have the Dispatcher add-on enabled) and the dispatcher_access capability, which is available to managers and above. If you can't see this tab, speak to your administrator.

Find it under the Operations group in the management menu.

What you can do

• See every guard on duty across the dispatched site or event in real time — name, position, role, and current status.
• Reassign guards on the fly — move guards between posts or areas instantly. For example: "Move 3 guards to South Gate" — select them, pick the destination, confirm. They receive a push notification with the new instruction.
• Broadcast a site-wide message — send a message to all on-duty guards simultaneously. Useful for shift updates, alerts, or co-ordinating a response.
• Trigger check calls in bulk — request a check call from multiple guards at once rather than one at a time from the Dashboard.
• Surface alerts — the dashboard highlights active alerts including missed check-calls, BOLO matches, and lockdown triggers so you can act on them immediately.

Following one guard's movements (trails)

Switch on Trails (top-right of the map) to draw each on-duty guard's recent GPS breadcrumb trail, so you can see where people have been moving. The selector next to the button controls how far back the trails reach.

With several guards on duty, every trail at once can get busy. To follow just one person, click their marker and choose “Show only this trail” from the pop-up — the map then hides everyone else's trail and shows only that guard's, so you can trace exactly where they've been. When that guard is already isolated the same button reads “Show all trails”, so it takes you straight back.

To bring everyone's trails back, use the Show all trails pill at the bottom-left of the map or press Esc. Switching Trails off clears the focus too.

Dispatcher Dashboard vs Patrol Monitor

The Patrol Monitor is passive — it shows you what's happening but doesn't let you act on it. The Dispatcher Dashboard is active — it's built for orchestrating guards in real time. Use the Patrol Monitor to observe; use the Dispatcher Dashboard to direct.

The standard Dashboard tab gives you a daily overview of shift activity. The Dispatcher Dashboard is a live operational console, not a summary view — it's suited to shifts where active coordination is happening, not routine monitoring.

Split screen — work alongside the rest of the hub

On a desktop, the Split screen button (top right of the dispatcher header, next to fullscreen) opens the rest of the Management Hub beside the live dispatcher. You can check a report, look up a guard, or send a memo without leaving dispatch — the map and live tracking keep running the whole time, because the dispatcher pane is never reloaded.

• Drag the divider in the middle to resize the two panes.
• Use the swap button on the divider to move the dispatcher to the left or right.
• Click Split screen again to close it. Your layout — on or off, which side, and the split position — is remembered on that browser.
• It's a desktop feature: on smaller screens the button is hidden, and the dispatcher fills the width as usual.

Guard event map — situational awareness for the team

When you enable Dispatcher Mode for a client, every guard clocked in at that site gains a View Map button on their clock-in card. Tapping it opens a read-only version of the same event map — the venue overlay you have placed, plus live GPS markers for all colleagues on site. Guards cannot reassign anyone or change any status; the map is view-only and gives the whole team the same situational picture without requiring Dispatcher access. Positions refresh roughly every 15 seconds and are only visible while a guard is clocked in.

Map display controls

Each guard marker can show a faint GPS accuracy ring — a circle around the marker indicating how precise that guard's reported position is. A small ring means a tight, reliable fix; a larger ring means the location is approximate (common indoors or in built-up areas).

Use the rings button (the target icon in the top toolbar, beside Map Overlays) to turn these accuracy rings on or off. Switch them off for a cleaner map when you only need guard positions; switch them back on when you want to judge how trustworthy a location is. Your choice is remembered on your device for next time.

Tips

• Keep the Dispatcher Dashboard open on a dedicated screen during large events so you don't have to navigate back to it when you need to act quickly.
• Reassignment notifications go to the guard's device immediately — ensure all on-duty guards have push notifications enabled.
