Site Branding
Updated 28 May 2026
The Branding section — found inside the Settings tab — lets you customise how TacDesk looks for your company. Changes affect the management hub, the GuardHub app, and (where supported) the native mobile apps.
Company logo
Upload a PNG or SVG file with a transparent background. The logo appears in the navigation bar and on key screens across both the management hub and the guard app. Logos work best when wider than they are tall — a square logo is scaled down to fit the navigation bar height, which can make it appear smaller than expected.
Accent colour
Your accent colour is used for buttons, links, focus rings, and the active tab indicator across the entire UI. Enter your brand's hex code for an exact match, or use the colour picker. Choose a colour with enough contrast against a white background — very pale colours can make buttons hard to read, especially in light mode.
Theme (light / dark default)
Set whether the platform defaults to light or dark mode for new users. Individual users can override this per device using the theme toggle in their profile. The dark mode default is popular with guards working night shifts.
Visual style
Choose between Flat (clean line-based SVG icons, default) and Emojis (colourful emoji icons). The toggle affects the icon system across the entire UI — management hub, GuardHub, and reports. Flat is better suited to formal or corporate environments.
App icon
Upload a square PNG (1024×1024 px recommended) to use as the app icon for your company's branded builds on the App Store and Google Play. This is used when your company has a white-labelled native app.
Splash screen
Where supported by your build, upload the loading-screen graphic shown when the app starts. Use a landscape or portrait image depending on your app's orientation. If no splash screen is uploaded, a default TacDesk screen is used.
After saving
Changes save immediately. Guards' devices fetch the updated branding on their next page load — no manual action is needed. Native app builds may require a full app restart to pick up the new splash screen or app icon. Tip: test on both light and dark mode before rolling out to your full team.
