Access Requests (BETA)
Updated 13 May 2026
BETA: This feature is in active development. Some behaviours may change.
Senior managers and admins only. Other roles will not see this tab.
The Access Requests tab is a triage queue for permission-elevation requests. When a supervisor — or any limited-access user — needs access to a tool or client they don't currently have, they can submit a request. That request lands here for your decision.
What each request shows
- Requester — the staff member asking for access.
- Requested access — the specific tool or client they want permission to use.
- Justification — any notes the requester provided to explain why they need it.
- Request date — when the request was submitted.
Approving a request
Tap Approve. The permission is granted immediately — the requester's management access updates on their next page load. They are notified automatically.
Declining a request
Tap Decline, optionally add a reason, then confirm. The requester is notified. No changes are made to their access.
Bulk actions
Tick multiple rows to approve or decline several requests in one action. Useful when a batch of similar requests comes in — for example, a group of supervisors needing rota access for a new contract.
Audit trail
Every approval and decline is logged — who made the decision, when, and what was granted or refused. This gives you a clear record for compliance purposes without having to manually track permission changes.
Relationship to user permissions
Approving an access request is the same as manually granting that permission from the user's edit modal in the Users tab. The Access Requests tab just provides a structured, auditable workflow for doing so — particularly useful in larger operations where supervisors operate semi-autonomously and permissions are carefully controlled.
If the Access Requests feature is not enabled on your account, this tab is hidden. Contact TacDesk to discuss enabling it.
