Recent notifications widget
Updated 13 May 2026
The Recent Notifications widget sits at the bottom of the Dashboard and shows your last ten system notifications at a glance, each with a timestamp and an icon indicating the type.
Where to find it
Open the Dashboard tab (โก) and scroll to the bottom. The Recent Notifications widget is the last element before the bottom navigation bar.
What the icons mean
Each notification entry carries a type icon so you can see at a glance what it relates to:
- โ๏ธ โ check-call request or welfare check
- ๐จ โ incident or emergency alert
- ๐ โ shift change or rota update
- ๐ โ new memo from management
- ๐ โ BOLO alert
- โ ๏ธ โ system warning or general alert
Acting on a notification
Tap any notification entry to open the relevant screen โ for example, tapping a check-call notification takes you straight to the check-call response form. Tapping a memo notification opens the memo.
Unread count
The widget shows up to ten recent notifications. An unread count appears on the Messages tab badge if you have unread messages; the notification widget itself shows up to 99+ unread entries.
Push notifications
In addition to appearing in this widget, notifications are also delivered as push alerts to your phone if you are using the native TacDesk app and have push notifications allowed. If you miss a push alert, come back to the Dashboard โ it will appear in the Recent Notifications widget.
Managing notification preferences
To control which types of notification you receive, go to the Settings tab (โ๏ธ) โ Notification settings. See the Notifications and settings article for details.
Not seeing a notification you expected?
If a push notification did not arrive on your phone, check the Troubleshooting article under the heading Push notifications not arriving. Common causes are system-level notification permissions being off, or the app running in a restricted background mode on your device.
