Kit & equipment tracking
Updated 13 May 2026
The Kit tab tracks every piece of equipment your company has in circulation — radios, torches, hi-vis vests, body-worn cameras, ID cards, keys, and anything else you issue to guards.
Adding a kit item
Tap Add Item. Set the item type, serial number (if applicable), current condition, and its location or status. Save to add it to inventory.
Issuing kit to a guard
From the item row, tap Issue and select the guard. Alternatively, open a guard's profile from the Users tab and assign items from there. The system records who has the item, when it was issued, and its condition at handover.
Item status
Each item has a status that reflects where it is:
- Available — in stock and ready to issue.
- Issued — with a named guard.
- In repair — out of service temporarily.
- Lost — missing; flagged for insurance or replacement purposes.
- Returned — handed back and available again.
Item history
Tap any item row to see its full issuance history — who has had it, when, and what condition it was in at each handover. Useful for tracing damage or settling disputes about when an item deteriorated.
End-of-employment returns
When a guard is archived, the system flags any kit still issued to them. Use the By Staff view (tab at the top of the Kit screen) to quickly see everything a particular person is holding before their final shift. Mark items as returned once they're physically handed back.
Bulk import
If you're setting up a large inventory for the first time, use CSV import (where available) to upload many items at once rather than entering them one by one.
Searching and filtering
Filter by category, status, or guard using the controls at the top. Sorting by Issued shows everything currently out with staff — useful for a periodic audit.
