Enhanced Privacy Mode
Updated 18 July 2026
Enhanced Privacy Mode is a security setting for high-sensitivity operations. When switched on it does two things: it blocks screenshots and screen recording inside the TacDesk mobile apps, and it requires all staff below senior manager to sign in through the app rather than a web browser.
Where to find it
Management Hub → Settings → Privacy & Security.
Who is affected
Anyone below senior-manager level — guards, supervisors and managers — can no longer log in through a web browser while this is on. They must use the free TacDesk app (App Store or Google Play), which is where screenshots are blocked. Their existing accounts work in the app straight away, with no separate sign-up.
What stays the same
Senior managers and administrators keep full web-browser access regardless of this setting, so oversight from a desktop is unaffected.
Default and when to use it
The setting is off by default. Turn it on for high-security contracts, a sensitive client, or where a compliance obligation requires that operational data cannot be captured or accessed outside the app.
Note: the block applies at the point of login. A user already signed in on a browser keeps that session until it expires or they next log in.
