Your kit and equipment
Updated 13 May 2026
The Kit sub-view lists the equipment your company has issued to you. Find it inside the Profile tab — tap the Kit button at the top, or navigate via ?view=kit. This sub-view is only available if your company has the Kit feature enabled.
What the list shows
Each kit item typically shows:
- Item name — for example, Radio, Torch, Body-Worn Camera, Hi-Vis Vest, ID Card, Keys
- Serial number or asset ID — the unique identifier for that specific piece of equipment
- Condition — New, Good, or Damaged as recorded at the time of issue
- Date issued — when the item was assigned to you
Reporting damage or loss
If a piece of kit is damaged, faulty, or lost, tell your manager directly. They can update the record in the management system and arrange a replacement. Do not wait until your next review — report it as soon as it happens, especially for safety-critical items like radios or body-worn cameras.
Returning kit
At the end of a contract or when leaving employment, all issued kit is typically expected back. Your Kit list provides a clear record of what was issued to you, which makes the return process straightforward for both you and your manager. Both parties can check items off against the list.
If an item is missing from your list
Kit records are maintained by your manager — the sub-view is read-only for you. If something you have been issued is not showing on the list, let your manager know so they can add it.
Common questions
Can I see the kit history — what I have previously returned? That depends on how your company has configured the Kit feature. Ask your manager if you need historical records.
Why is the Kit tab not showing on my profile? Either your company does not have the Kit feature, or your account has not had any kit items assigned yet. Check with your manager.
I have been given kit that belongs to a colleague. What do I do? Raise it with your manager so they can update the system correctly. Equipment should be recorded against the person holding it.
