If your site's access is paused

Updated 19 May 2026

The "Account access paused" screen

Occasionally a TacDesk site can be paused at the organisation level. When this happens, guards and managers logging in see a full-screen "Account access paused" notice instead of their hub, and the system is temporarily unusable.

Your data is safe

Nothing is deleted or lost. All records, reports, rotas, and history are fully preserved and become immediately accessible again as soon as the pause is lifted. A pause never affects stored data — it only restricts access while the matter is being resolved.

How to restore access

  1. Contact TacDesk support using the email or contact details provided to you. The team can confirm the current status of your account and restore access once the matter is resolved.
  2. Access restores automatically — once the matter is resolved, the pause lifts on its own. Guards and managers simply need to refresh the page or reopen the app; no reinstall or reset is required.

Notifying your team

If you are aware in advance that access may be paused, it is good practice to let your guards and supervisors know so they are not caught off-guard by the message. You can use the Memos feature to broadcast a brief notice before access is affected.
